Eastern State Penitentiary....FAIL.

THIS is the reason i like to plan outtings and NOT leave it to other people. The trip to PA for the jail was an UBER FAIL ! Not mentioning names [his cousins], but the person who planned it was so certain that we were able to buy tickets there and they were FAR from selling out... blah blah blah ! Not only were they sold out of tickets for the slot we wanted, we couldnt even buy tix for the later slots, coz the box office closes at 6pm !... and it was 5:30 and we were still in JC. So no ESP for us ! Here's some advice... ORDER YOUR TICKETS ONLINE BEFOREHAND!!

So to try to make the best of the day, we [as in me, my bf, his brothers & their gfs] decided to look for other haunted attractions in NJ that we can go to. I looked online and found one in East Windsor. Called CORNER OF CHAOS. Not too far from us. We also decided to invite his cousins to come. We got there and the line was RIDICULOUS ! We waited on [a slow moving] line for a little over an hour just to buy our tokens and get in the park to wait on more lines ?! [o and the port-a-johns were HORRENDOUS] At this point, we were FREEZING and fed up with waiting on lines... plus the park was going to close in 45 min ! So we all decided to take our tokens and try to sell them to the schmucks that were still waiting on line to buy tokens. We all sold them QUICK ! ..THANK GOD ! So plan B was another FAIL ! At least we figured out what we were going to be for Halloween as we waited on line... heh.

At least we have pumpkin picking plans for tomorrow... in Paramus ? Hope for the best.... =P

Halloween Outting

Let the Halloween festivities begin ! Im getting ready to head out and decided that a little time for a blog was needed. Tonight were heading to PA to check out Eastern State Penitenitiary. I first saw this place on the Travel Channel and Ive told so many people about it. Now i FINALLY GET TO GO ! weeee ! As much fun as i know im going to have, im kinda anxious about stepping foot in there. I mean i know what im getting into, but i just dont want random people screaming in my ear... ya know. Sushi Popper ?

This is  Sushi Popper i honestly dont know how i feel about this. I know that as a sushi lover, i should be ecstatic about  sushi-on-a-stick, but when i first saw the ad, i was kinda grossed out about it. I mean, dont get me wrong, id try it, but i already had an assumption that its gonna be bad. I hope im proven wrong.

Beautiful day for a porch picnic.

First off, let me introduce you guys to my friends Marlena [dark brown] & Spencer [light brown]. These two are my daily walks that i do for a client of mine. Marlena is 6yrs old and Spencer is 5months, theyre cutie pies !

After our walk, i was feening for a cuban sandwich ! *[For anyone who doesnt know what a cuban sandwich is, it consists of Pork, turkey, pickles, cheese & mayo.]* m m m and there was one place around here that make good cuban SANGwiches...lol. NEIDA's BAKERY ! Located on Bergen Ave & Montgomery [across from Hudson Catholic] in Jersey City. After picking up my sandwich, i headed over to eric's and decided to have a little picnic on his porch by myself while he took care of a chip on his windshield.

Capcakes!

i think i may stop by Dani's Sweet Ave Bakeshop and try their new october cupcakes ! im in the mood for some vegan sweets. yes VEGAN sweets =) They're yummo !

... Did i mention these are VEGAN cupcakes ? i did ? ok well im saying it again... VEGAN cupcakes !! Nom Nom NOM ! <3

Lola and Max's of Manila in Jersey City !

        Took my Lola [grandma] to the doctors along with my mom, to get her leg checked out coz she had a procedure done to fix the cartilage in her knee. After all was well and done, she wanted to go eat at Max's of Manila which just opened here in Jersey City. This chicken place is a dine in restaurant that's very popluar in the Philippines. How can we say no to lola !? She was so excited, cz its been YEARS since shes had Max's chicken. She was sick for a while and we were scared that she was going down hill and ever since she got a new doctor and new treatments, shes been doing ALOT better ! She's been gaining weight and just look at her ! She seems happier and her appetite is definitely better ! So anyway, this is what she orders, 

 

...half chicken [yess half a chicken] w/ garlic rice, pancit canton, iced tea, soup & ice cream for dessert ! [DELISH!!] She seemed like she was in HEAVEN ! The only thing she left behind was a drumstick and the wing. OOOOF ! Im glad she enjoyed it ! She made plans to go back there on saturday ! I CAN'T SAY NO TO LOLA !

The restaurant is working out some kinks right now with staffing but the food is worth it ! So definitely check out Max's of Manila guys ! The food is great ! Lola approves !
