holiday lights

My friend and I went downtown jersey city to pick up her husband. We were on river st. And as we turned the corner we were greeted by a center court filled with christmas lights and christmas trees with faux gifts under them. We walked around and I felt like a little kid in awe of all the different color lights! It was so beautiful !! I really recommend checking it out during the holiday season! Enjoy !!

Playing with liquid latex...

I started playing with liquid latex this past halloween to try to get a little more original with my costume. I wanted to show you guys how it came out... here ya go =)

I molded everything from scratch and added color to it to make a burnt look...

 this is my neck, i was pretty impressed [so was everyone else] with this one.

...and added blood... VIOLA !

Lost Halloween blog...

I just realized that after reading my other posts that i never blogged about how the holloween went... That sunday we ended up going to paramus to do some pumpkin picking... it was alot of fun since ive never done it before. We had some hot apple cider, a hayride, hay maze & even went to see the animals in their petting zoo ! SO FUN ! it was such a nice day, mmm felt like fall.

 

While i was at the petting zoo, i had a little run in with a curious goat with whom i was playing tug o war with to get my scarf out of its mouth. Next time, ill make sure to keep an eye around my surroundings. sheesh. lol

 After pumpkin picking, we went to The Country Pancake House & Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ for some grub. It was featured on the Food Network for their HUGE pancakes, so i was excited and figured it was going to be awesome ! But we were all disappointed... the pancakes were huge, but the it wasnt that good... it was more like a heavy cake texture than a fluffy pancake. i guess they were okay with sacrificing the flavor and texture for the title of being known as having ginormous pancakes...::SMH:: Id rather have small, delicious, fluffy pancakes over theirs any day. :)

Its safe to say that we left most of our food behind... LoL.

Later on that night, we headed to Sleepy Hollow in upstate NY to go to The Headless Horseman Hayride and Haunted Houses attraction. I had seen a review about this place the night before on The Travel Channel and was glad to hear that they planned to go there that day. weeee ! Unfortunately, we werent allowed to bring cameras or take pix in the park, so i have no pix to post... booo... i know. Once you walk into the park, you already feel like you're in a different world... it was great ! Everyone stayed into character and the the "village" was very authentic looking. The food was good and very budget friendly. Unlike the park from the night before, the lines ran very smoothly and was very organized. The hayride lasted about 30 -45 min and was very entertaining and startling. The ride took you to the first of 6 haunted houses... and let me tell you, i literally peed myself - it was so scary ! eeeep ! My voice was so hoarse the next day from all the screaming i did !!! i was soo exhausted after the outings !

Well, I've been folding stars like crazy to make sure I have enough goods for the show on the 19th. Its 530am and I'm still awake blogging..... idk what's wrong with me. Meh. I wish I had some help over here.... anywaay.... these are the new colors ....enjoy!

Eastern State Penitentiary....FAIL.

THIS is the reason i like to plan outtings and NOT leave it to other people. The trip to PA for the jail was an UBER FAIL ! Not mentioning names [his cousins], but the person who planned it was so certain that we were able to buy tickets there and they were FAR from selling out... blah blah blah ! Not only were they sold out of tickets for the slot we wanted, we couldnt even buy tix for the later slots, coz the box office closes at 6pm !... and it was 5:30 and we were still in JC. So no ESP for us ! Here's some advice... ORDER YOUR TICKETS ONLINE BEFOREHAND!!

So to try to make the best of the day, we [as in me, my bf, his brothers & their gfs] decided to look for other haunted attractions in NJ that we can go to. I looked online and found one in East Windsor. Called CORNER OF CHAOS. Not too far from us. We also decided to invite his cousins to come. We got there and the line was RIDICULOUS ! We waited on [a slow moving] line for a little over an hour just to buy our tokens and get in the park to wait on more lines ?! [o and the port-a-johns were HORRENDOUS] At this point, we were FREEZING and fed up with waiting on lines... plus the park was going to close in 45 min ! So we all decided to take our tokens and try to sell them to the schmucks that were still waiting on line to buy tokens. We all sold them QUICK ! ..THANK GOD ! So plan B was another FAIL ! At least we figured out what we were going to be for Halloween as we waited on line... heh.

At least we have pumpkin picking plans for tomorrow... in Paramus ? Hope for the best.... =P

Halloween Outting

Let the Halloween festivities begin ! Im getting ready to head out and decided that a little time for a blog was needed. Tonight were heading to PA to check out Eastern State Penitenitiary. I first saw this place on the Travel Channel and Ive told so many people about it. Now i FINALLY GET TO GO ! weeee ! As much fun as i know im going to have, im kinda anxious about stepping foot in there. I mean i know what im getting into, but i just dont want random people screaming in my ear... ya know. Sushi Popper ?

This is  Sushi Popper i honestly dont know how i feel about this. I know that as a sushi lover, i should be ecstatic about  sushi-on-a-stick, but when i first saw the ad, i was kinda grossed out about it. I mean, dont get me wrong, id try it, but i already had an assumption that its gonna be bad. I hope im proven wrong.

Beautiful day for a porch picnic.

First off, let me introduce you guys to my friends Marlena [dark brown] & Spencer [light brown]. These two are my daily walks that i do for a client of mine. Marlena is 6yrs old and Spencer is 5months, theyre cutie pies !

After our walk, i was feening for a cuban sandwich ! *[For anyone who doesnt know what a cuban sandwich is, it consists of Pork, turkey, pickles, cheese & mayo.]* m m m and there was one place around here that make good cuban SANGwiches...lol. NEIDA's BAKERY ! Located on Bergen Ave & Montgomery [across from Hudson Catholic] in Jersey City. After picking up my sandwich, i headed over to eric's and decided to have a little picnic on his porch by myself while he took care of a chip on his windshield.

i think i may stop by Dani's Sweet Ave Bakeshop and try their new october cupcakes ! im in the mood for some vegan sweets. yes VEGAN sweets =) They're yummo !
